Inflammatory Bowel

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are long-term (chronic) conditions that involve inflammation of the gut (gastrointestinal tract). IBD is a term mainly used to describe two conditions, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Both usually involve severe diarrhoea, pain, fatigue and weight loss. IBD can be debilitating and sometimes leads to life-threatening complications. They can be treated initially with medications but may need Surgery.
